The bus pass registration site for Fall 2010 through June 2011 will be available
in early June, 2010. The bus pass process, online registration form, fees,
dates and pass pickup times will be revised so please return to this site in June to retrieve the updated information.
 The Westford Public Schools will be charging a school transportation fee for certain students during the 2009-2010 school year. Any child in grades K-6 whose residence is 2 miles or less from the attending school, and ALL children in grades 7-12, will have to pay a fee for transportation services. In accordance with Massachusetts School Transportation Statute, any child in grades K-6 whose residence is greater than 2 miles
from school will have transportation funded via the school department's budget. All students must register to receive a bus pass. Bus passes will be required to ride the bus. The fee for one student is $200, two students is $400, and three or more students is $525. PLEASE SEE OUR FAQ FOR MORE INFORMATION.

 BUS PASS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS RIDING THE BUSAll students who plan to ride the bus will need to register for a bus pass. Parents must register all children who plan to ride the bus, whether they qualify for fee-based transportation or not. All registrations for bus transportation will require online registration, which will be available June 15th. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ONLINE
Register online and print your registration receipt. This will indicate that you have registered and your information is in our database. You must bring the printed receipt to our Central Office, 23 Depot Street to receive your bus pass. If paying by credit card, there will be an additional bank charge of $11 per child up to a maximum of three children, or $33.00. If registering four children, the bank fee will remain $33.00.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER
There will be computers available for you to use to complete your registration at our Administrative Office at 23 Depot Street (located behind the Abbot Elementary School).
PHOTOS FOR PASSES
Bus passes will be created using the photos from the 2008-2009 school year photos. Students who are new to Westford, who did not have a school photo taken here last year) OR children who will be starting kindergarten in the Fall of 2009, have three options for pictures:
Option #1
Email a photo of your child with the following information: name of child, grade and school child will be attending in the fall, and parent contact phone number. Send to skrenitsky@westfordk12.us. Please put in subject line: Bus Pass Photo FY2010. We will emaiil you when the pass is ready for pick up at our administrative office, 23 Depot Street.
Option #2:
Mail a photo of your child (it will not be returned to you) with thefollowing information: name of child, grade and school child will be attending in the fall, and parent contact phone number, and parent email address. Mail this to: Westford Public Schools, Attn: Transportation Dept., 23 Depot Street, Westford, MA 01886. We will contact you when the bus pass is ready for pick up.
Option #3:
Bus Pass Photos at our Administrative Office, 23 Depot Street, Thursday, July 16th or Thursday, July 23rd, from 12:00 noon until 6:00 PM. Passes will be available for pickup at our administrative office beginning the week of July 27th.
OFFICE HOURS FOR PICKING UP BUS PASSES -
We will have staff available to assist you Thursday, July 16th and Thursday, July 23rd from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM and weekdays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, beginning July 27th through Thursday, September 3rd.
STARTING SEPTEMBER 8TH
Starting September 8th, if you have not yet purchased a bus pass, please call Dee Bus at 978-392-8639 to confirm that there is space available on the bus assigned to your child. You will need to provide your address, and the name of the child's school. If space is available on the appropriate bus, you will then be required to register online for a bus pass.
IF YOUR BUS PASS IS LOST - Contact your school office for a short-term temporary pass. A replacement bus pass will be issued for any lost passes. A $5 fee will be charged for this service. Please contact our administrative office at 23 Depot Street to get your replacement pass. NO TEMPORARY PASS will be issued to meet short term requests due to family situations or to seek bus transporation during inclement weather.
